We’re going to use every ounce of our collective strength to rebuild New York City. We know we must build a better future, one that leaves the city stronger and more equitable than ever before.
WE ARE HERE TO STAY—Because it isn’t enough to recover. We’ve learned some things. For all of New York's greatness, the city's promise of inclusivity has fallen far too short for far too many. It’s time to live up to that promise, ensuring a brighter future for all the heroes amongst us. Heroes keep the city going in endless ways. Our recovery relies on all of us.
We will turn this reckoning into a triumph. Real New Yorkers don’t cut and run. We fight for what we care about, and when it matters, we come together in common purpose. Because in the end, the gifts New York gives us are worth fighting for.
